Day 4: The Future of Fashion

Day Four of NZFW puts the spotlight firmly on what’s next. The Future of Fashion introduces Aotearoa’s emerging design talent, with eight finalists selected to showcase their vision on the runway and take the next step in building their place within New Zealand fashion.

From fresh perspectives to bold new ideas, this is a celebration of creativity, ambition and the designers shaping the future of our industry.

For Aleph, it’s another opportunity to support individuality and self-expression backstage, creating beauty that complements each designer’s world without overpowering it.

2026 finalists: Anthurium, Heather Brennan Evans, iTi Clothes, Laurence Sabrine, NIQ Atelier, Rhian, Winnie Catherine and Zoe Langley.

Congratulations to Winnie Catherine for taking out the top prize!

Fresh skin. Modern eyes. Effortless definition.

For the Future of Fashion, Giltrap runway, the beauty direction was polished yet natural, with real skin kept fresh and dimensional and the focus firmly on the eyes.

Vesper Hybrid Eye Pigment (unreleased) took centre stage, swept softly across the lid or used in a more graphic way around the eye for a clean, contemporary finish.

Noir or Umber Multi Liner Pencil added barely-there depth at the lash line, while Terra and Grounded Cheek/Lip Tint brought subtle warmth and dimension to cheeks and lips.

A touch of Lumen Lip Gloss finished selected looks with fresh, understated shine.
